The secrets of Castillo de la Luz await. Will you uncover them?

The scanning process

To preserve the rich history and unveil the hidden stories of this ancient stronghold, a cutting-edge virtual tour was developed, offering explorers and scholars alike an immersive window into the past. Employing a combination of aerial photogrammetry and handheld LiDAR scanning, we meticulously documented every detail of the castle's structure.

An oblique flight mission allowed our drone to capture sweeping, high-resolution images from above, while the LiDAR device traced the fine contours of the site from the ground. The fusion of these technologies, alongside advanced processing software, enabled the creation of an extraordinarily detailed 3D model, so lifelike, it seems to breathe with history.

This digital reconstruction is not only a captivating experience for virtual visitors but also a powerful tool for archaeologists and conservationists, supporting precise measurements, architectural surveys, and the production of accurate plans and elevations. Through this fusion of exploration and innovation, the secrets of the past are being brought vividly into the light.
